Comer launches probe into LA protests

The House Oversight Committee is launching an investigation into Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) and Los Angeles Democratic Mayor Karen Bass as the protests over federal immigration policies continue in California.

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., and the Subcommittee on Federal Law Enforcement Chairman Clay Higgins, R-La., want answers. They have sent letters to California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass requesting documents and communications between their offices.
